Doroth Parker Walking Tour
The tour is open to the public; it begins and ends at the landmark Algonquin Hotel, 59 West 44th Street. The tour encompasses the Theatre District, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and Hell's Kitchen. There are more than 40 destinations on the tour; among them are the former speakeasies, theaters, offices, homes and hangouts of the Vicious Circle. Immediately following the walking tour guests have the option of having lunch at the Round Table (cost of lunch separate).
The walks are led by Kevin C. Fitzpatrick, author of A Journey into Dorothy Parker's New York (Roaring Forties Press). All walking tours are approximately two hours in length; the tour begins at Noon in the lobby of the Algonquin and ends in the Round Table room. It is recommended walkers wear comfortable shoes as the walk encompasses approximately 30 blocks.
