HISTORY: born in 1979 in London, Katie was raised in a loving family to humble parents.
Her mother being a Suit Maker and father a printer She was educated at the best of schools and vigourously trained in Art, Dance and Music. Katies education progressed in leaps and bounds, finishing college at 18 years of age.
Katie took a year out to figure what she wanted to do with her life but did not do much but party and get into the wrong crowds. She dated a nightclub Doorman that taught her the Martial arts Skills of Aikido. Not being a
particularly violent person this was the Martial art for her as Aikido
focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you placing great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement.
She also was taught some rather unsavoury skills such as lock picking and Wallet snatching which she is became rather good at.
It wasn't until the death of her mother Ann Rogers in a car crash that she Bucked up her ideas stopped partying , dating losers and pursued her mom's and her own dream of becoming a success in publishing.
She started on small publications and did some work experience at some of the big named magazines but found that she was not taken seriously because Of her striking looks and was often harrassed by her managers.
Upon a trip to New York city, a place she dreamed of working as a child, she dated a Bartender named James Keene at a bar called "the Rock" and got a job there for 5 months.
In that time she sent out her CV to agencies and Magazine publishers alike and worked nights.
Upon finding James in bed with her friend she moved out of the apartment she shared with him. And went back home to England. By chance on the plane back to London she sat near what she thought was the best looking guy she had ever seen (and judging by the reaction of the stewardesses she was right).
The man's name was Byrnes O'Grady a NYC fireman on his first visit to Ireland. They got on so well that Katie offered to show him around London On his way back to New York.
As you can guess, they fell for each other big time and Katie vowed to go back to New York to see him if she could get a Job over there.
Byrnes wanted her to stay so pulled a favour from a family friend and got her a job at Star magazine working as a temp.
Katies Goal was to work for GLOBO magazine, situated next door. It was the biggest fashion magazine in the city with branches all over the world.
She found out through an internal paper that there was a position going On the magazine as assistant Fashion editor but that the submission date Had ended that day.
Using her skills she learnt as a teenager Katie broke into the Editor's office one night , hacked into his mainframe and added herself to the list Minusing one CRYSTAL ROSE, an obnoxiuos, vain woman that Katie knew from the list.
In the Interview Katie exelled and was offered the position. Much to the dislike of Crystal, who thought Katie was to young with not enough experience for the position. To this day Crystal dispises Katie for she is now the Fashion Editor . Only one person knows what she has done in the past But How long will it stay a secret?
